Common photo sizes

3R, 4R & 5R
The sizes are great for frames to be placed on smaller spaces such as on desk area or even on a small feature wall. Also, these are the ideal sizes if you are making a wall display using collage of photos. For 3R (3 x 5 inches) size the ideal file size required for printing is 900 x 1500 pixels. As for 4R (4 x 6 inches) the ideal size in pixels is 1200 x 1800 pixels and for 5R (5 x 7 inches) the ideal size is 1500 x 2100 pixels.

8R and 9R
Great for photos if you are looking to feature it alone. Most commonly used for family and graduation portraits.
Ideal size for 8R (8 x 10 inches) size in pixel is 2400 x 3000 pixels while for 9R (8.5 x 11 inches) size, the ideal size in pixels is 2550 x 3300 pixels.

10R
More suitable for bigger displays such as mini poster or event poster. The ideal size for 10R (9 x 16 inches) in pixels is 2700 x 4800 pixels.

11R
This is the first choice for larger format with higher details and most commonly used for posters and professional prints. It is 11 x 16 inches and the ideal size in pixels is 3300 x 4800 pixels.
